CTCF 2025 Hightlight Video
CTCF made a spectacular return in 2025. From live music and folk arts to traditional snacks and interactive workshops, visitors were immersed in a space where ancient stories met the rhythm of modern life. The atmosphere at Fed Square was filled with warmth and connection, as people from different cultural backgrounds came together to share in the beauty and spirit of Chinese culture in Melbourne.

Dream House
Dream House was one of the festival’s most-loved immersive experiences. It brought together the timeless beauty of Dunhuang art, China’s pandas, and classic mythology, reimagined through modern interactive design and creative installations. Visitors wandered through the space, discovering stories of the East and capturing moments that felt magical.

Performance
Our performances offered a vibrant cultural experience where visitors enjoyed traditional Chinese arts such as live dance, folk music, shadow play, martial arts, and poetry, while a range of interactive activities invited everyone to take part. The ancient Chinese instruments x EDM show lit up the night with incredible energy, bringing a modern pulse to ancient rhythms. It was a moment where people could truly feel the richness and vitality of Chinese culture up close.

Stalls
Visitors explored the China chic market, where tradition met creativity in every corner. The market buzzed with life — authentic Chinese street food, handmade crafts, incense appreciation, face painting, delicate hairpins, and beautiful Hanfu styling all added to the festive charm. Many people joined workshops to make lacquer fans, write calligraphy, craft lanterns, or paint traditional masks. The air was filled with laughter and colour. This was more than just a market, it became a memory shared and a story that continues.

Cultural Experience
Visitors discovered the beauty of Chinese traditions through a series of hands-on cultural experiences. They brought stories to life through shadow puppetry, crafted elegant lacquer fans, designed glowing paper lanterns, and explored the intricate art of Cloisonné enamel. Each workshop offered a moment of creativity, connection, and cultural discovery that left lasting memories.
If you missed it this time, don’t worry. Even more immersive workshops and cultural surprises await you at next year’s CTCF.

Food
Guests enjoyed the flavours of China. Sizzling Haidilao favourites, spicy Chongqing skewers, and the crowd-favourite Oriental-inspired Gelato. Paired with an aromatic signature cocktail, every taste offered a glimpse into the richness and creativity of Chinese cuisine. We look forward to sharing even more unforgettable flavours at next year’s festival.
